The
purpose of this page is to provide you with everything you need to know
in order to start the design process. It is my goal to make the design
for your project as efficient and hassle free as possible. The information
gathered here will enable me to focus on your project and have you a custom
design concept created and sent to you in a timely manner while at the
same time keeping you within your budgetary needs.
All
forms needed for this process are in PDF format and can be downloaded
and saved to your computer. These forms are in an Adobe Acrobat Reader
PDF format. If you do not have Acrobat, you can download a free copy
of Acrobat Reader from Adobe at:www.adobe.com
Please
review the information carefully. You can also contact me directly if
you have any questions by e-mailing me at:info@cover2coverdesigns.com.

Things
to be thinking about even before
the design process begins
- Are
there any other book covers or CD's that you have seen that look interesting
to you?
Information like that is golden, so be sure to get the ISBN# of the
book or the name of the CD.
- Color
Scheme: Another thing to think about are base colors you
may like or have in mind.
- Photographs:
Some authors deeply personalize their projects with personal photographs,
or photographs pertaining to the subject. When using subject photographs,
make sure that those photos are not owned or copy written by someone
else, royalty free images are always the best way to go.
- Web
Graphics:
I usually look at web graphics for design concepts only, but will not
use them as part of the actual design. More often times then not, graphics
taken from the web are the property of those whose site they have been
taken from. The other point is that web graphics are way too small and
will not print properly for professional projects, however I can design
something along the same lines at a resolution appropriate for printing.
- ISBN
Number: Most bookstores or distributors require that your
book have an ISBN Number. The first place to look for one is to your
publisher/printer/service bureau. At this time Cover2Cover Designs does
not offer an ISBN service, but are looking towards that in the future.

The Design Process
The
Job Submittal Information Sheet
has a list of very important information that I will need to gather
in order to begin working the design process. Even beyond completion
of the information sheet, I will be contacting you personally to
review the information, and to get any ideas you may have in coming
up with a completely custom design. This is your project, and I
value your ideas, opinions and input in order to adequately culminate
the information gathered into a final product that is graphically
and esthetically yours.

motion the project creation and gives an exact breakdown of services that
I provide and the cost of that project. It also sets up the terms and
conditions for the whole process.

appropriate form will be downloaded to your computer for you to review.
