Tidwell's Teriffic Kids Tab

While employed at the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer Newspaper, I worked in more than one department as a designer. I was initially hired on as an advertisement designer; working with a team to design daily ads for clients.

I also worked in special publications, marketing design, circulation offering design support and NIE (Newspapers in Education). It was in these other areas that I was able to further utilize my design and art skills, as seen with the “Tidwell’s Terrific Kids” tab.

Most of the components are actually supplied out of the can for the tab, but are then customized and then reorganized in a layout with ads that are inserted into the tab. I then created illustrations and characters for the publication to complete the tab.

The characters were illustrated, scanned in and then colored in Photoshop, while the layout was completed using Multi-Ad Creator.
