RESCUE
The
French Brittany is different from The American Brittany; they
vary in colors, size and temperament. They are not always recognized
as a "Brittany" when found as strays at shelters, and
some may slip through the cracks.
The
goals of the French Brittany Gun Dog Association of America, Inc
Rescue are to educate shelters about the breed; to locate and
rescue purebred French Brittany's from shelters and voluntary
surrenders; to place them in foster care for rehabilitation and
eventually in permanent homes; and to reduce the number of unwanted
purebred dogs through education and rehabilitation.
Due
to the fact that we are just getting started, we will be relying
on both the American
Brittany Rescue and the National
Brittany Rescue to refer any French Brittany's to us for rescue,
rehabilitation and adoption or you can go to www.shatteredpineranch.com/eb911.pdf
to view rescued dogs through our organization.
The
French Brittany dogs placed into the rescue and adoption programs
may or may not hunt and may have special needs. Every effort will
be made to match dogs with owners that can provide what they need,
however no guarantees are implied.
Adoption
Fees will apply to all dogs and will be based on the individual
dogs available for adoption. Adoption fees will be used to offset
the costs of acquiring dogs from shelters, transportation, medical
needs and some administrative expenses.

you are interested in adopting a French Brittany, please complete
