Guitar World Homemade Heroes Cover Design

Back in 2010, Guitar World had a section in their magazine and on their web page that promoted fans to design their own Guitar World covers and submit them for possible publication on their website if it made the cut. Of course, being a cover designer by trade, this was right up my alley.

To my surprise, not only did they publish it on the Hall of Heroes web page, but it wound up on the sounding board page of the August 2010 issue. I didn’t even know it was being published. I got my monthly issue and there it was on page 16.

I based the cover on some of my favorite bands and songs that I would like to see in my own magazine. The image was created in Photoshop and Illustrator.
