The $25,000 Game of the Week Challenge was an SEC, college football season based campaign partership with Spectrum Stores, Circle K Stores and the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.
The marketing strategy was designed to increase readership and publication sales by targeting sports fans and fooball enthuesiasts to purchase the daily paper.
The program consisted of readers filling out a weekly score card, predicting the half-time and final scores, then submitting them for a drawing. These cards were randomly selected, and if the numbers matched, were eligable to be in the final drawing for the $25,000 grand prize.
The total print run consisted of:
