Beacon University Corporate Branding

While employed with TEC (The Eastwood Company) Publications, I was tasked with my largest logo design project, which would then balloon into an entire corporate rebrand for Beacon College.

Beacon College had grown to achieve University status and thus needed to have a logo designed as well as a branding strategy. Our team was tasked with creating several logos of which mine was chosen. I created two distinctive images that would both be easily recognized as one in the same organization.

First creating the logo shield, which was loosely based on their original logo with a lighthouse as the central theme, but also added some old world, scholarly imagery. The second design was for the school crest. This was the logo shield imbedded into a more formal university type design to be used on official documents, degrees and certifications.

Once designed. The next step was to create a brand strategy, building around the logo and bleeding its theme and colors to every aspect of what would be official Beacon University Brand.

Everything from business cards, letter head, student identification to distance education course materials for books, catalogs, DVDs had been designed and formatted to create a clear, clean and consistent brand for the new University.
