Dark Channel

Dark Channel was my brainchild created for a band that I wanted to put together (Yes, I am a musician too). The name, however ominous it may sound, isn’t as chilling it seems.

You see, I am also a comic book illustrator as well, and a lot of the illustration and coloring I do, I do in the channels panel of Photoshop. The dark channel to be precise. This is where I set up the creative part of my illustrating.

Even more so, if you look at the scary skulls in the logo, where they are conjoined; you can see the channels logo from Photoshop. The daggered looking points are actually pen nibs for inking.

Of course, being the busy designer and father that I am, the band never came to fruition. However, I am recycling this logo and am using it for my upcoming new project as a comic book colorist under Dark Channel Studios. Be on the lookout! It’s coming soon.
