About

Profile

I come from a long line of artists, from my great grandfather, my grandfather down to my mother. I began my career as a designer working in more traditional mediums as an artist, more specifically as an illustrator. For several years I was an illustrator for an indy comic book publiser. It wasn’t until the mid 90’s that I began my studies into the world of digital graphic design.

As a freelance designer, I have worked in many capacities which gave me the opportunities to hone my skills for both commercial design and work in publication. During this time I studied at Sessions School of Design and New Media where I received my certification in both graphic design and web design.

I further developed my proficiency as a designer during my five year employment with TEC Publications. It was during this time that I really gained my proficient knowledge in publishing and production.

From 2000 until 2012 I had a successul freelance design company, Cover 2 Cover Designs, specializing in publication and cover designs; literally designimg over a thousand book covers. I continue to love both the challenge of designing covers, as well as sharing in the excitement of my clients as they following their dreams and careers as published authors.

As a full time designer I have worked at Beacon University, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer newspaper and currently hold position as Senior Graphic Designer for Masterbuilt Mfg. Co. LLC.

I am a proud father of four wonderful, talented children, share my life with my best friend who is also the love of my life and woman of my dreams, two awesome pups (Oso of course is my shadow), and have found it to be the highest privilege to be able to provide for my family in a career that I mutually love and find very rewarding.
